Facebook’s f8 conference, CEO Mark Zuckerberg took the stage to unveil the next evolution of the service. He calls this feature Timeline.“It’s the heart of your Facebook experience, completely rethought from the ground up,” Zuckerberg says, noting that they’ve been working on it all year. “Timeline is the story of your life.”
What Zuckerberg showed was a beautiful new Profile that is much more visual than anything Facebook has done before.“We’re more than what we did recently,” Zuckerberg explained to the audience.It was then that Zuckerberg unveiled Timeline, the revamped version of the Facebook Profile. It’s a way to show off who you are, what you do and where you’ve been. It’s a complete design overhaul that makes a visual history of everything you’ve ever done, all the way to when you were born.

It all began in Plaza Hotel, New York City on the 10th of November 1983. Two Microsoft founders Paul Allen and Bill Gates officially announced their corporation’s first and next-generation graphical user interface operating system – Microsoft Windows.

Top 10 Mysteries of Space
Since the beginning of life, man has looked to the stars with a sense of wonder. Between then and now, many advances have been made in the fields of astronomy, mathematics, and physics in an attempt to explain the things we see above, yet the more we believe we understand, the less we really seem to know. In something as big as the universe, there are bound to be unexplainable phenomena, and things we truly can’t grasp. The universe shows us how small we really are, and in a place so big, is it really plausible to believe that we are alone? And is there any reason someone might not want us to know? This is a list of what I believe to be some of the best mysteries and conspiracy theories of outer space.

One of the strangest photos that has ever been taken of space is that of the Eagle Nebula. The photo itself is supposed to show the birth of a star from the gaseous clouds. However, when the photo was shown on CNN, hundreds of calls came in from people reporting they could see a face in the cloud. When the color of the photo was adjusted, a large human form seemed to appear within the cloud. Scientist have not been able to explain this phenomena.

The worm overwrites files and creates hidden copies of the originals. The worm also attempts to disable some common anti-virus products and has a payload that fills files with all zeroes. Variants of the Klez worm remain the most active on the Internet.
2002: A denial-of-service attack hits all 13 of the "root" servers that provide the primary roadmap for almost all Internet communications. Internet users experience no slowdowns or outages because of safeguards built into the Internet's architecture. But the attack -- called the largest ever -- raises questions about the security of the core Internet infrastructure.
2003: The "Slammer" worm infects hundreds of thousands of computers in less than three hours. The worm ever wreaks havoc on businesses worldwide, knocking cash machines offline and delaying airline flights. It holds the ranking as the fastest-spreading computer worm ever.
2004: The "MyDoom" worm becomes the fastest-spreading e-mail worm as it causes headaches -- but very little damage -- almost a year to the day after Slammer ran rampant in late January 2003. MyDoom uses "social engineering," or low-tech psychological tricks, to persuade people to open the e-mail attachment that contains the virus. It claims to be a notification that an e-mail message sent earlier has failed, and prompts the user to open the attachment to see what the message text originally said. Many people fall for it.

The commercial usage of hard disk drives began in 1956 with the shipment of an IBM 305 RAMAC system including IBM Model 350 disk storage
The IBM 350 Disk File, invented by Reynold Johnson, was introduced in 1956 with the IBM 305 RAMAC computer. This drive had fifty 24 inch platters, with a total capacity of five million characters. A single head assembly having two heads was used for access to all the platters, making the average access time very slow (just under 1 second).The IBM 1301 Disk Storage Unit,[6] announced in 1961, introduced the usage of a head for each data surface with the heads having self acting air bearings (flying heads).

This excellent chart shows the evolution of IBM hard disks over the past 15 years. Several different form factors are illustrated, showing the progress that they have made over the years in terms of capacity, along with projections for the future. 250 GB hard disks in laptops in five years? Based on past history, there's a good chance that it will in fact happen!
Note: that the scale on the left is logarithmic, not linear, and PC hard disks have one actuator.
