Google Thomas Edison 164th Birthday Logo
Edison was born on February 11, 1847 and died on October 18, 1931. He spent most of his years in New York City, although he was born in Milan, Ohio and died at 84 in West Orange, New Jersey. He was married twice and had six children.

This time is no different with Google coming up with a brainteaser that makes you wonder what the secret code could be. This New Year, the google doodle will definitely get us thinking.

The image consists of 'GMMXIE', an apparent code. But the image is 'googles' way of ushering in the New Year. The code is 2011 written in roman characters with a G and E at the beginning and the end, to add to the confusion. Only the middle four letters are altered with the roman characters. There are also fireworks in the background of the logo to welcome the New Year.
