Microsoft TV Coming Soon

A report from the Seattle Times claims that Microsoft plans to unveil a version of Windows created specifically for internet connected TVS and set top boxes at CES.

Believed to be a direct competitor with the Apple TV and Google TV, Brier Dudley reports the company plans to show off a stripped down version of Windows tailored for internet connected TVs and set top boxes. Of course we expect Microsoft to partner with hardware manufacturers and provide only the OS for the devices in question.

The boxes will reportedly come in under the $200 mark and hit the market sometime in 2011. The report also claims the device will have an integrated program guide that will allow you to browse both online and broadcast content.
